All positions within the Indian Chapter are voluntary.

The following executive positions support the chapter’s leadership, administration, education, outreach, membership, and professional activities:

Legal Structure of the Indian Chapter

The Indian Chapter of The Thorium Network operates as an unincorporated, not-for-profit association of volunteers, organised in accordance with the intent and guiding principles of the Societies Registration Act, 1860.

The Thorium Network has granted the Indian Chapter a limited licence to use the organisation’s name and intellectual property for the promotion, education, research, and advocacy of matters associated with energy generation using Liquid Fission Thorium Burner (LFTB) technology.

The activities of the Indian Chapter include, but are not limited to:

• Conducting research, analysis, and the dissemination of information relating to the LFTB fuel cycle, including Thorium mining, fuel fabrication, reactor design, and remnant management.
• Organising conferences, workshops, and seminars that bring together experts, policymakers, industry representatives, and members of the public to discuss the potential role of LFTB technology in India’s energy mix.
• Collaborating with academic institutions, research organisations, industry partners, and other relevant bodies to advance the development and deployment of LFTB technology in India.
• Advocating for policy changes and regulatory frameworks that support the adoption of LFTB technology, including incentives for research and development and more efficient approval processes.
• Engaging with the media and the public to raise awareness of the benefits of LFTB technology, including its potential to support safe, clean, and sustainable energy generation.
• Establishing partnerships with international organisations, researchers, and technical experts to exchange knowledge, best practices, and lessons learned in the development of LFTB technology.
• Providing technical assistance, education, and capacity-building opportunities to Indian companies and organisations interested in participating in the LFTB supply chain and its deployment.

Operating as an unincorporated association, the Indian Chapter of The Thorium Network is committed to making a meaningful contribution to the advancement of LFTB technology in India. Its ultimate objective is to help promote a sustainable, secure, and prosperous energy future for the country.

भारतीय चैप्टर की कानूनी संरचना

The Thorium Network का भारतीय चैप्टर स्वयंसेवकों का एक गैर-निगमित, गैर-लाभकारी संघ है, जो Societies Registration Act, 1860 की भावना और मार्गदर्शक सिद्धांतों के अनुरूप संगठित है।

The Thorium Network ने भारतीय चैप्टर को Liquid Fission Thorium Burner (LFTB) तकनीक का उपयोग करके ऊर्जा उत्पादन से संबंधित विषयों के प्रचार-प्रसार, शिक्षा, अनुसंधान और नीति-समर्थन के लिए संगठन के नाम और बौद्धिक संपदा का सीमित उपयोग-अधिकार प्रदान किया है।

भारतीय चैप्टर की गतिविधियों में निम्नलिखित शामिल हैं, लेकिन ये इन्हीं तक सीमित नहीं हैं, परंतु ये इन्हीं तक सीमित नहीं हैं:

• LFTB ईंधन चक्र से संबंधित अनुसंधान, विश्लेषण और सूचना का प्रसार करना, जिसमें थोरियम का खनन, ईंधन निर्माण, रिएक्टर का डिजाइन और अवशेषों का प्रबंधन शामिल है।
• ऐसे सम्मेलनों, कार्यशालाओं और संगोष्ठियों का आयोजन करना, जिनमें विशेषज्ञों, नीति-निर्माताओं, उद्योग प्रतिनिधियों और आम जनता को एक साथ लाकर भारत के ऊर्जा मिश्रण में LFTB तकनीक की संभावित भूमिका पर चर्चा की जा सके।
• भारत में LFTB तकनीक के विकास और परिनियोजन को आगे बढ़ाने के लिए शैक्षणिक संस्थानों, अनुसंधान संगठनों, औद्योगिक साझेदारों और अन्य संबंधित निकायों के साथ सहयोग करना।
• ऐसी नीतिगत और नियामक व्यवस्थाओं के समर्थन में जनसमर्थन जुटाना, जो LFTB तकनीक को अपनाने में सहायक हों; इनमें अनुसंधान एवं विकास के लिए प्रोत्साहन तथा अधिक कुशल अनुमोदन प्रक्रियाएँ शामिल हैं।
• LFTB तकनीक के लाभों के बारे में जागरूकता बढ़ाने के लिए मीडिया और आम जनता के साथ संवाद करना, जिसमें सुरक्षित, स्वच्छ और टिकाऊ ऊर्जा उत्पादन में इसके संभावित योगदान को उजागर करना शामिल है।
• LFTB तकनीक के विकास में ज्ञान, सर्वोत्तम कार्यप्रणालियों और प्राप्त अनुभवों का आदान-प्रदान करने के लिए अंतरराष्ट्रीय संगठनों, शोधकर्ताओं और तकनीकी विशेषज्ञों के साथ साझेदारियाँ स्थापित करना।
• LFTB आपूर्ति श्रृंखला और इसके कार्यान्वयन में भाग लेने की इच्छुक भारतीय कंपनियों और संगठनों को तकनीकी सहायता, शिक्षा और क्षमता-विकास के अवसर प्रदान करना।
