Legal Structure of the Indian Chapter

The Indian Chapter of The Thorium Network exists as an unincorporated, not-for-profit association of volunteers under guidance of The Societies Registration Act of India, 1860. It has been granted a limited license by The Thorium Network to utilise the organisation’s name and intellectual property to undertake the promotion, education, and advocacy of matters associated with the generation of energy from Liquid Fission Thorium Burner (LFTB) technology. This includes, but is not limited to:

  1. Conducting research, analysis, and dissemination of information related to the LFTB fuel cycle, including Thorium mining, fuel fabrication, reactor design, and remnant management.
  2. Organising conferences, workshops, and seminars to bring together experts, policymakers, and the general public to discuss the potential of LFTB technology in India’s energy mix.
  3. Collaborating with academic institutions, research organisations, and industry partners to advance the development and deployment of LFTB technology in India.
  4. Advocating for policy changes and regulatory frameworks that support the adoption of LFTB technology, including incentives for research and development, and streamlined approval processes.
  5. Engaging with the media and the public to raise awareness about the benefits of LFTB technology, such as its potential for safe, clean, and sustainable energy generation.
  6. Establishing partnerships with international organisations and experts to share knowledge, best practices, and lessons learned in the development of LFTB technology.
  7. Providing technical assistance and capacity building to Indian companies and organisations interested in participating in the LFTB supply chain and deployment.

Despite its unincorporated status, the Indian Chapter of The Thorium Network is committed to making a meaningful contribution to the advancement of LFTB technology in India, with the ultimate goal of promoting a sustainable and secure energy future for the country.

भारतीय अध्याय की कानूनी संरचना

थोरियम नेटवर्क का भारतीय अध्याय भारत के सोसायटी पंजीकरण अधिनियम, 1860 के मार्गदर्शन में स्वयंसेवकों के एक असिंचित, गैर-लाभकारी संघ के रूप में मौजूद है । यह थोरियम नेटवर्क द्वारा तरल विखंडन थोरियम बर्नर (एलएफटीबी) प्रौद्योगिकी से ऊर्जा के उत्पादन से जुड़े मामलों के प्रचार, शिक्षा और वकालत करने के लिए संगठन के नाम और बौद्धिक संपदा का उपयोग करने के लिए एक सीमित लाइसेंस प्रदान किया गया है । इसमें शामिल है, लेकिन सीमित नहीं है:
